Sep 17, 2015

[Singapore, September 17, 2015] Huawei has been honored with The Enterprise Data Center, The Internet Data Center and The Modular Deployment awards at the DatacenterDynamics Asia Pacific Awards 2015. This awards ceremony was held on September 16th at the Marina Bay Sands, as part of Singapore Data Center Week.

Winning the Enterprise Data Center Award was Huawei Langfang Cloud Data Center. The project reconstructed and integrated an old factory building in China’s Hebei Province with the latest warehouse data-center module solution. The new facility combines elements of creative green technology, quick deployment, high ROI and high-efficiency for cooling and power distribution.

The Internet Data Center Award was won by China Unicom’s Guangdong Cloud Data Center Shenzhen Yantian Base Project, which combined reconstruction of an old factory building with modular design for faster time-to-market (TTM). The data center covers 21,000 square meters and has 2,000 racks. Huawei delivered the project as prime system integrator. The third award, giving Huawei the ‘Hat Trick’, was The Modular Deployment Award. It went to the Guofu Modular Data Center Project. Huawei helped Shanghai Guofu Data Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd. achieve commercial success by completing the first phase of the project within two months, which cut the usual deployment time by 50 percent. Huawei’s Modular Data Center Solution has performed beyond expectation with its modular design developed through a series of market-leading technology breakthroughs.

The success of the Huawei Langfang Cloud Data Center, China Unicom Guangdong Cloud Data Center Yantian Base and the Guofu Yuepu data-center projects have set a new benchmark for the Asia Pacific data-center industry. Huawei’s deep understanding of the data-center market dynamic and its need for quick upgrading of facilities, led the company to develop a range of solutions including: modular facility integration, warehouse data center and a container data-center solution. These solutions for fast and economical build-out of data centers have launched a positive trend in the industry.

Since 2002, Huawei has provided data-center integration services and solutions, which have led to the decision to design business-driven, flexible and green data centers for customers. To date, Huawei has supported over 480 data-center projects, including more than 160 cloud data-center projects, 100 data-center facilities for operators, and more than 800,000 square meters of total data-center space.
